The origin of the name Commodore comes from the Navy terminology where most of the Kubernetes names are coming from. So for those of you who know, most of the terms around Kubernetes are coming from the Navy domain. So you have the helm, you have the boat themselves, et cetera. And what we wanted to be is basically the captain of this ship, right? So for those of you who know, Commodore is a very senior rank of a Navy Admiral, who basically his job is to navigate the ship, or the Navy of the ships, to a secure place. And we wanted to be basically the tool or the platform to take the complexity of Kubernetes and navigate it into a coherent and secure place for our users.
